Anita and I moved to Howick in 1978 as newly weds eager to farm. Our next door neighbour was quick to recommend that we insure our dreams with the Keil-Dadson which we did. As our farm and family grew so did our insurance needs and Keil-Dadson were always willing to explore various options to meet our changing needs. Several farm claims over the years were met with prompt compassionate service. Howick mutual always went the extra mile to accommodate even the "gray" areas of a claim.
Recently we were celebrating the birthday of a grandson with our daughter and her husband in their home in Waterloo. During supper we were alerted by a loud crash on the street only to discover that an elderly person had lost control of their car and collided with our parked SUV totalling both vehicles. Thankfully the driver sustained only minor injuries and was safely suspended in her upside down car.
Once the aftermath cleared, I called the Keil-Dadson number on my insurance folder unsure of what our next move should be or how to get back home (it was now well after business hours). Tim Keil answered my call and soon informed us that some of his family happened to be in Waterloo for an outing and could pick us up shortly and drive us home, which they did. (Try that with the big TV ad companies).
Six days after the crash and coincidentally the day we were to pick up our "new to us" SUV, a Howick Mutual representative arrived at our door to present us with the fair claim settlement check.
Accidents are never pleasant nor does one come out ahead of the game but Keil-Dadson did their best to mitigate the inconvenience. We are thankful that there were no serious injuries and are thankful for the prompt courteous service offered through Keil-Dadson.

In the past few months I have been in 2 unusual situations that involved working with Megan. Both situations could have been super stressful and have been most inconvenient for me to say the least. I have been fortunate and not needed to use insurance in any major way before so I was most appreciative of how smoothly Megan handled both situations. She did a lot of behind the scenes work that moved the whole process along so well. She was thorough and her follow up super. She was proactive and gave me a heads up about information and set up the situation for as few complications as possible.
